Backups

I am part of a small informal group of doulas who provide backup to each other. The members of the group tend to change some over time as my fellow doulas take time off for families, new babies of their own, etc. While I have rarely used backup for births, I like to have plenty of options to ensure I have coverage that is a good fit for my clients. The doulas I am currently working with are:

Laura Bikman An excellent doula who has been practicing for many year, Laura is certified by DONA International as a doula, and by ICEA and HypnoBirthing as a childbirth educator. She has taught me many things over the years we've worked together.

Angie Rosier is another very experienced doula who has been in practice for more than 5 years. She is DONA certified and focuses her birth work on attending births as a doula. One of the more adventurous people I know, Angie is often hiking, rock climbing, or playing in the great outdoors somewhere.

Aubrey Waldron is DONA certified and has been a doula for about 3 years. She is also a yoga instructor and enjoys running, skiing, and all kinds of outdoor activities.

Andrya Lewis is a certified doula and childbirth educator through CAPPA. She is just coming back into birth work after taking several years off for the birth of her last two children. With 8 children, she's had lots of experience of her own to add to her professional experience. She owns and runs Transfigure Maternity Services, a great resource for pregnancy, birth and parenting.
